This Tabriz antique rug measures 345 x 478 cm and carries a delicately faded floral field in cream, blush, taupe, and muted teal. Its all-over arrangement of scrolling vines, palmettes, and small blossoms is held within a finely worked border, creating a balanced composition that remains legible through age and wear. Woven in wool, the surface has a softened, tactile quality, with oxidation and gentle distress lending depth rather than distraction. Circa 1925 - 1945, it reflects the refined ornament and restrained colour of a Tabriz, presented here in a quietly weathered state.
