This Oushak antique rug measures 480 x 577 cm and is organised around a field of octagonal medallions set within a diagonal lattice. Rust red dominates the ground, while navy, gold, ivory and teal bring contrast and clarity to the geometric pattern. Small floral details punctuate the composition, and the stepped border frames it with calm structure. Visible fading and abrasion lend the rug a softened, timeworn surface, without disrupting its overall rhythm.
