This Oushak in wool measures 323 x 462 cm. A pale neutral ground supports staggered medallions and stylised palmettes in muted red, gold and soft green, each softened by gentle abrash across the field. The wide salmon-rose border with angular arabesques frames the centre, adding a warm band of colour against the cream ground. Low distress and an even pile give the piece a soft, tactile surface with subtle fading that reads as historic patina.
