This Tabriz antique rug measures 277 x 353 cm and presents an allover field of scrolling floral latticework, rosettes, and palmettes, enclosed by multiple floral borders. The deep blue ground is tempered by brown, ivory, muted terracotta, and sage notes, creating a composed, weathered palette with softened contrast. Medium distress is visible in the worn pile, gentle fading, and light edge character, all of which add to its tactile presence. Circa 1885 - 1910, it expresses the refined structure and decorative richness associated with Tabriz weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
