This Tabriz antique rug measures 48 x 64 cm and offers a carefully balanced figural composition in wool, enclosed by floral borders and a gently aged surface. A central portrait rests within an oval reserve, while flowering sprays on either side bring rhythm and delicacy to the design. Cream, pale aqua, red, brown, and black notes remain readable, with light fading that gives the field a softer, more settled tone. Low distress and visible fringe wear contribute to its lived-in presence. Circa 1900 - 1920, it reflects the poetic detail and measured elegance associated with smaller Tabriz rugs.
