This Tabriz antique rug, 124 x 173 cm, balances a formal medallion with a richly detailed floral field, all enclosed by layered borders and small rosette repeats. Woven in wool, the surface blends ivory, cream, pale grey, and muted red notes, with a softened finish that lends the design an understated, timeworn character. The central ornament remains crisp against scrolling vines and stylised blossoms, while the border structure provides a measured frame. Circa 1920 - 1940, it shows low distress and the gentle wear expected of an antique rug, with a calm, heritage-led presence.
