This Oushak antique rug measures 389 x 439 cm and pairs a deep grey field with blush pink, soft coral, warm beige, and traces of faded teal. The allover floral lattice is animated by delicate stems, palmettes, and scattered rosettes, while the border remains light and architectural. Medium distress gives the surface a softened hand and an expressive, timeworn finish. Circa 1880 - 1900, this wool Oushak reflects the relaxed drawing and gentle colour wash associated with the format, with enough wear to deepen its atmosphere without obscuring the design.
