This Tabriz antique rug measures 325 x 521 cm and is woven in wool with a muted neutral palette of sand, taupe, beige, and warm brown. The composition is finely worked, with an all-over floral lattice, slim enclosing borders, and a dark diamond medallion that anchors the centre. Medium distress is visible across the surface, with softened pattern detail, faded areas, and worn character that speak to age without diminishing the rug’s structure. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reflects the measured symmetry and decorative restraint for which Tabriz rugs are known, here rendered in a quietly weathered, heritage-rich form.
