This Mallayer antique rug measures 94 x 267 cm and presents a grounded palette of cream, brown, beige, and muted neutral tones. The long field is filled with an orderly allover pattern of scrolling hooked motifs and small geometric repeats, while the narrow borders add structure and depth without interrupting the calm flow of the design. Woven in wool, it shows medium distress, softened colour, and worn outer edges that speak to age and use. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries the quietly architectural character often found in Mallayer weaving.
