This Bibikabad antique rug measures 409 x 635 cm and is woven with an all-over lattice of tiny floral forms, centred by a saturated blue medallion that grounds the composition. The wool pile shows a calm palette of blue, neutral beige, taupe, and ivory, with subtle peach notes in the borders. Soft fading and visible wear lend the surface a mellow, layered character. Circa 1910 - 1925, it reads as a measured design with quiet movement, where repeated motifs and softened colour hold the eye without losing clarity. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
