This Oushak antique rug in wool measures 229 x 320 cm and carries a softened composition in warm cream, faded blue, dusty teal, and muted brown. A floral centre anchor is balanced by corner spandrels, small geometric devices, and a layered border with scrolling detail. The overall effect is calm and weathered, with colour changes that speak to age and use. Circa 1885 - 1905. Medium distress and a gently worn surface give the rug an elegant patina, while the design remains legible and composed. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
