This Oushak antique rug measures 122 x 351 cm and is woven in wool with a richly balanced palette of red, cream, neutral, blue, and turquoise. The elongated field is organised around repeating floral medallions and angular botanical forms, all enclosed by a defined border with stylised geometric guards. Low distress gives the surface a softened, timeworn quality, while the colour remains vivid and layered. Circa 1900 - 1915, it captures the easy elegance and decorative clarity often sought in Oushak weaving, with a tactility that feels both settled and expressive.
