This Oushak antique rug measures 366 x 414 cm and brings together a gently faded field of floral and geometric motifs in cream, neutral beige, red, and soft blue-grey. A broad border encloses the composition, giving structure to the open centre and allowing the pattern to breathe. Woven in wool, it has a calm, tactile surface with low distress and a mellow, even patina. Circa 1890 - 1905, the design language feels composed and heritage-led, with the softened colour movement and spacious ornament associated with classic Oushak rugs. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
