A Dorokhsh of considerable scale, this antique rug reads as a quietly patinated field in muted neutrals and cream highlights with ink-like floral accents. The 457 x 597 cm format exposes an all-over boteh and floral lattice, its repeating curved motifs held within multiple narrow guard borders. The wool fibre shows even abrash and medium wear, softening contrast and deepening the surface patina. Edges are gently irregular, adding to the textile’s sense of time and tactility. The overall effect is restrained and architectonic, a measured study in craft and tone. Circa 1890 - 1910
