An Oushak of ample scale, 320 x 432 cm, rendered in a mellow coral colour that has softened with time. The field hosts two faint medallions and an airy arrangement of palmettes and floral motifs, set within a broad neutral-olive border and a pale inner guard. The wool fibre shows even abrash and medium wear, the surface reading quietly tactile with faded pink and beige highlights and soft sage accents. The rug's wear lends authentic, heritage character while preserving its graphic balance. This antique rug presents a calm, material sensibility and measured colour harmony. Circa 1900 - 1920.
