A generous Oushak in warm red with pink and cream highlights, this antique rug balances bold scale with a softened, time-worn surface. A dominant central medallion is surrounded by orderly palmettes and medallion motifs in an allover composition, framed by a wide floral border and guard bands. The wool fibre shows low, even wear and delicate abrash that harmonises the colourway while preserving pattern clarity. The overall effect is tactile and quiet, the colours mellowed by age. Circa 1900 - 1940. Measurements: 323 x 589 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
