This expansive Oushak feels like a softened heirloom: a wool antique rug with a pale neutral field punctuated by a warm red medallion and spare secondary motifs. A broad red border, mellowed with cream and muted sage, frames a geometric centre; gentle abrash and faded areas lend the surface a painterly quality. The rug shows medium wear, an even low pile, edge fraying and sympathetic historic repairs that contribute to its mellow patina. Circa 1900 - 1920. Size 389 x 467 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
