A generous Oushak in soft neutral tones and faded red, this antique rug carries a subdued central medallion across a pale, lightly patterned field. Cream, muted gold and hints of pale blue temper the warm terracotta border, where palmettes and stylised floral sprays form a steady repeat. Low distress and subtle abrash have mellowed the original colour, leaving a tactile wool surface with quiet depth. The scale is expansive at 361 x 396 cm, allowing the motifs to breathe while maintaining an intimate, hand-drawn character. Edges are gently finished and neatly held. Circa 1915 - 1930
