A Mallayer wool runner, 89 x 505 cm, its compact boteh lattice set across a muted brown and gold ground. Repeated paisley motifs form a disciplined allover, contained by a narrow ivory geometric border that reads as a linear frame. Medium abrasion and localized pile loss have mellowed contrasts and introduced warm abrash, while frayed terminations and softened edges confirm long use. The surface is tactile, its pattern worn into a gentle rhythm that emphasises heritage and craft. Presented as an antique rug, this long runner retains measured presence and textural depth.
