This Oushak shows a warm beige field enlivened by muted red and pink floral accents, worked in wool with a low level of distress. A golden-yellow border contains rounded floral roundels and a restrained central arrangement; subtle abrash animates the surface and softens the palette. The pile remains tactile and the design reads as measured, a compact study in floral geometry. It wears the quiet authority of an antique rug, colours mellowed into a warm, textural whole. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measurements 76 x 142 cm confirm a compact proportion suited to appreciation of its surface and palette.
