A luminous Tabriz in softened neutrals, this antique rug measures 353 x 569 cm and carries the quiet language of age. Wool fibres have settled into an all-over floral medallion lattice with palmettes and arabesque motifs, the field washed into warm beige and brown with lingering bands of muted red. A blue-green scrolling border offers low-contrast punctuation. Medium distress and visible abrash give the surface a layered, tactile patina; edges are softened but intact. The overall impression is of a collected, well-lived object whose colour range and surface depth speak to long use and considered repair. Circa 1895 - 1910
