An Oushak with a pale centre and a broad coral-red border, the large medallion softened by age into a layered field of neutral, pink and gold tones. Woven in wool, the rug displays medium wear and warm abrash that create a refined tactile patina while leaving the geometric floral cartouches legible. The repeat border and corner spandrels remain composed though gently distressed, lending the piece an antique rug character that feels both historic and subdued. Circa 1900 - 1920. Size 351 x 442 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
