This Tabriz carries a muted, neutral colour range in wool, centred by a classic medallion and framed by multiple floral borders. Measuring 310 x 444 cm, the scale allows the arabesque vines and palmette motifs to resolve with calm clarity. Medium distress and uniform abrash have softened the pile and mellowed the colours into a warm, tactile surface; edges show light rubbing consistent with age. The result is an antique rug with measured patina and refined compositional balance. Circa 1930 - 1945. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
