This Baluch in wool is a compact, narrative antique rug measuring 112 x 218 cm, offered with a restrained, tactile presence. A deep red mihrab-like panel centres the design, bookended by stylised tree-of-life columns and two rendered faces set against a cream field. Small geometric fills and a repeating square-medallion border balance the composition, the restrained colourway of cream, white and neutral giving the piece an assured, handcrafted character. Low distress and modest abrash retain clear motifs and a softly worn surface. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
