This Oushak shows a warm mustard field articulated with geometric palmettes and a stepped central tree-of-life motif. A soft neutral border with repeating bird-like figures frames the design, and subtle abrash and gentle surface wear give the wool a quiet, tactile character. The low distress level preserves clear red, cream and neutral colour notes against the golden ground while the corner spandrels introduce deeper neutral panels for contrast. Edges are neatly held with minimal wear, and the low pile reads with a linen-like hand that emphasises weave and age. Circa 1900 - 1920. Size: 81 x 145 cm. This antique rug retains a considered, tactile character.
