This Tabriz carries a muted red and warm brown medallion set into a neutral stepped field. A dense floral ground and richly detailed floral border appear softened by even wear and a low lustre; abrash and faded highlights animate the surface. Woven in wool with the measured restraint of older patterns, the piece reads as an antique rug of calm proportion at 335 x 488 cm. Circa 1900 - 1915. The balance of medallion, ground and border offers a tactile, heritage-aware presence that emphasises craft and age. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
