This Oushak presents a restrained colourway of cream and muted coral with ochre highlights set into a pale ground. The field is organised as a relaxed floral lattice, punctuated by palmettes and stylised medallions, and enclosed by multiple floral guard borders. The wool fibre has softened and the surface shows even abrash and medium wear, lending a mellow, textured patina to the piece. This antique rug measures 295 x 386 cm, its faded tones and gentle wear speaking to age and use rather than decoration alone. Circa 1880 - 1900.
