This Tabriz shows a resolute red ground centred by a serrated medallion set against cream spandrels and restrained neutral borders. The wool fibre reads warm to the touch, the surface with low, even wear that preserves pattern contrast and a subtle, lived patina. Decorative palmettes and layered guard borders frame the centre with rhythmic precision, the palette moving between red, cream and white with brown outlines. The piece reads as an antique rug that retains both presence and restraint, an artifact of considered making and age. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measures 142 x 201 cm.
