A Tafresh in wool, 132 x 201 cm, offered in restrained ivory, slate blue and warm brown tones. The composition centres on a medallion within an angular leafy lattice, articulated by small floral cartouches and a slim border of stylised birds and blooms. Wear is low and even, the blues showing gentle abrash that enriches the colour; the wool fibre retains a soft, matte hand and crisp outlining. This antique rug has an architectural clarity tempered by a calm surface patina. Edges and fringe are intact with minimal intervention. Circa 1900 - 1915
