This Oushak carries a broad neutral wool field enlivened by coral-red medallions and scattered palmettes. The pile shows low wear; abrash and soft cream highlights give the colour a gentle, weathered resonance. A generous red border of rosette roundels and narrow guard bands frames the centre while motifs remain deliberately relaxed across 297 x 391 cm. The surface retains a tactile, satiny hand that reads as an antique rug shaped by quiet use rather than restoration. Wool construction and the muted palette emphasise craft and age. Circa 1890 - 1910
