An understated Dorokhsh in wool, rendered in muted cream, white and brown, this antique rug measures 236 x 366 cm. A stepped lozenge at the centre sits within a delicate all-over scrolling vine and floral ground, contained by narrow guard borders. Medium wear and subtle abrash have softened outlines and mellowed the colourway, producing a low, tactile pile and a quietly aged presence that speaks to handcraft and time. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
