A serene Oushak in a muted neutral field enlivened by soft pink palmettes and a restrained floral border. The large centre medallion is gently worn into the wool, its outlines softened by even abrash and medium wear; the field and border maintain a fabric-like tactility. This antique rug has a faded, timeworn presence that foregrounds fibre and hand, with faint vertical banding and softened edge character that read as natural age. Circa 1900 - 1920. Measurements: 300 x 386 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
