A Tabriz in wool with an ivory ground, this antique rug carries a meticulous allover floral vine and finely modelled palmettes, settled around a discreet lozenge medallion. Measuring 361 x 605 cm, the scale allows the pattern to breathe; gold and green accents sit against a deep red guard and offer soft, ageing contrast. The pile shows low distress and an even surface, a gentle age-softening that enhances tactility. Its palette remains finely resolved, rewarding close inspection of the delicate dye tones. Circa 1920 - 1935. The result is a considered, design-literate example of Persian weaving where colour, motif and time converge.
