The field is composed of repeating palmettes and scrolling vine work that suggest a central medallette without overwhelming the composition; the multi-band border carries small rosette cartouches. Red highlights punctuate the neutral and white palette, lending subtle contrast while maintaining an overall muted, aged quality. The surface shows soft pile and discreet abrash that speak to gentle use and careful preservation. This antique rug measures 201 x 287 cm, conveying quiet scale and studied craft. Circa 1910 - 1930
