This Tabriz carries a serene neutral field of cream and pale sage with soft terracotta accents and fine rosette motifs arranged in a measured allover repeat. A generous rust-coloured guard border with cartouche-like motifs frames the piece while narrow floral stripes provide a formal edge. Handwoven in wool, the rug shows medium wear and subtle abrash that mellow the palette and surface texture; the result is an antique rug with a thoughtful, lived-in presence. Circa 1925 - 1940. Exact size: 305 x 396 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
