A measured Tabriz in wool, the large octagonal medallion sits within an allover floral boteh field in muted neutral, gold and brown colourways. The pile is softened by even abrash and medium-age wear, allowing the finer floral guard borders to read as a pale ribbon around the centre. Wear and time have yielded a subdued, tactile surface that emphasises material and pattern rather than ostentation. This antique rug is 274 x 371 cm, its restrained palette and worn hand speak to a dignified, lived history. Circa 1880 - 1900 The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
