This Tabriz is defined by an ivory ground detailed with palmettes and a flowing vine lattice, relieved by soft pinks and muted aqua tones. The wool fibre shows medium wear, even abrash and areas of low pile that give the piece a lived, tactile surface. Floral cartouches frame the field while stylised animal motifs inhabit the guard borders, their silhouettes softened by time. The faded palette and layered wear read as calm, considered age in an antique rug. Circa 1925 - 1940. Size: 274 x 351 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
