This Mallayer presents a muted coral and pink ground punctuated by a seafoam-centred medallion and dense stylised florals. The field displays subtle abrash and an even, low level of wear that softens motifs without erasing their geometry. Corners form angular spandrels, and narrow floral borders enclose the composition with a disciplined rhythm. Handwoven in wool, the piece reads as an antique rug with a layered, tactile surface and restrained colouration. Circa 1895 - 1910. Size: 188 x 297 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
