An accomplished Tabriz in a composed red, soft pink and cream palette, centred by a large floral medallion and surrounded by finely articulated floral borders. The scalloped field and interlaced arabesques are drawn with disciplined detail; the wool pile shows low wear and an even abrash that enhances colour depth without loss of definition. Circa 1925 - 1940. This antique rug measures 396 x 536 cm and presents a considered heritage hand, its surface reading as quietly patinated and tactilely assured. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
