A generous Oushak in wool, rendered in terracotta and sand with ivory highlights and muted blue accents. The 432 x 612 cm scale allows the central stepped diamond medallion and repeating hooked motifs to resolve with calm proportion; multiple borders frame a softly abrased field. Low distress and a mellowed pile lend a tactile, worn-in character that reads as an antique rug rather than a reconstruction. Colour variation is even and sympathetic to the original dyes, suggesting age through surface and tone. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
