This Oushak is wool, its red medallion balanced against a muted grey field and softened by creamy border bands. Floral palmettes and secondary lozenges sit within a stepped cartouche, the motifs relaxed and finely articulated. The piece shows low distress with gentle abrash that speaks to use and time, the pile remaining soft to the touch and edges modestly worn. Measurements are 114 x 183 cm, giving the rug an intimate, considered scale. Read as an antique rug with a tactile, heritage-aware presence and a calm, restrained colour harmony. Circa 1950 - 1965
