This Hereke features a prominent scalloped medallion set against a deep ruby field, balanced by sage and navy registers and cream highlights. The field is worked with compact floral arabesques and vine scrolls, framed by scalloped spandrels and a repeating palmette border. Woven in wool with low wear, the pile carries a soft, time-softened patina and subtle abrash while motifs remain well defined. This antique rug measures 284 x 432 cm and conveys the disciplined scale and hand of late workshop weaving. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
