A substantial Tabriz in wool, finished in a soft palette of cream, beige and warm tan with pale grey and rose accents. Measuring 384 x 523 cm, the design features a scalloped central medallion set into a dense floral lattice, framed by a broad roundel palmette border. High distress has produced even fading, visible abrash and a worn, supple surface that emphasises the rug's age and materiality. This antique rug reads as a calm, time-softened field of pattern and tactility. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
