An elegant Mallayer runner in wool, the piece presents a deep blue field with aqua-green highlights, neutral ivory and warm rust notes. A central tree-lattice of stylised palmettes and scrolling foliage repeats along the length, framed by a slim floral guard border in paler colour. Low wear and subtle abrash lend a softly faded surface to the wool fibre, while the pattern remains crisply defined. This antique rug carries a tactile, archival quality that reads as cultivated and lived-in across its long, narrow scale. Size: 89 x 503 cm. Circa 1895 - 1915.
