A soft-toned Tabriz in wool, the composition of palmettes and scrolling vine emerging from a washed blue-grey field with rust and cream highlights. At 269 x 345 cm the piece shows medium distress, visible abrash and discrete repair interventions that lend a layered surface and gentle relief to the pile. A broad rust main border of repeated rosettes frames the allover field, while narrow guard stripes provide measured structure. The woollen fibre retains subtle texture beneath faded colour, offering a tactile study in age and craft. This antique rug reads as quietly refined and well worn. Circa 1900 - 1920
