A Bibikabad antique rug in wool, 356 x 556 cm, composed as an all-over floral lattice of palmettes and vines bordered by a generous floral band. The palette is subdued brown and neutral, lifted by cream and white highlights that read as gentle accents against a mellow ground. The pile exhibits medium wear and a soft abrash across the centre, lending a velvety surface and a patinated sense of time. The tactile wool fibre and restrained colourway reflect considered craftsmanship and long use, presenting a quietly sophisticated, heritage-aware presence. Circa 1900 - 1915
