An elegant Tabriz in a restrained neutral colourway, this wool rug measures 391 x 696 cm. A large, softened central medallion sits within a field of scrolling vines, palmettes and delicate floral sprigs, while layered guard borders enclose the design. The cream ground with muted beige, taupe and soft grey accents shows even abrash and medium wear, producing a velvety, timeworn surface. The tactile wool fibre and softened edges create a quietly heirloom presence, where pattern and patina read together. This antique rug is measured, intimate and luminous. Circa 1900 - 1920
