An Amritsa wool antique rug measuring 371 x 470 cm. The design presents an arched centre with a trellis of diamonds held within a scalloped cartouche, balanced by floral corner spandrels and a wide flowering vine border. The colourway sits between cream and warm tan with muted red highlights and soft grey abrash that age the surface delicately. The rug shows moderate wear, even abrash across the field and gently softened edges consistent with its age. Circa 1905 - 1935. This is a tactile example of restrained early 20th-century wool weaving.
