This Amritsa carries a soft ivory field with delicate rose and sage accents across a ground softened by age. A central palmette motif unfolds into scrolling floral arabesques with corner spandrels and multi-band foliate borders, their outlines mellowed by medium wear. Hand in wool, the piece exhibits even fading, subtle abrash and light edge fraying that enhance its tactile quality. The overall effect is an antique rug of refined restraint, where faded colour and faded pattern speak to long use and careful keeping. Circa 1890 - 1910. Size: 335 x 523 cm.
