An Oushak of considered scale and restrained geometry, this antique rug shows a warm gold ground framed by a pale coral centre and faint mirrored vine outlines. The open field and spare border give the pattern room to breathe; soft abrash and a tactile wool fibre lend an understated modernity alongside evident age. Medium overall distress and gentle pile loss have mellowed the palette into a quiet, lived-in presence, while the edges retain modest wear. Dimensions are 290 x 373 cm. Circa 1950 - 1965. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
